"Night" By Elie Weisel (Germany)

Night is about elie weisel and how he survived the holocaust. Elie was a fifteen year old jewish boy when the holocaust began. He wrote a book called, Night, which is a reaccounting of all his memories about the experience. One death camp that Elie started out at, Auschwicz, is a terrible death camp where you could be killed everyday, and in the end there was more than five MILLION jews who were killed at this camp alone. That is a lot. Through the experience, Elie lost all of his family and is thankful to be alive, but sees it nessecary to remember the holocaust, so it doesnt happen again.

What i will remember about the book are the specific parts that stand out more than others, like when he first gets to Auschwicz, when his dad dies, when they run from Buna. As for images, when they are moving mounds of dead bodies, that image will be there forever. This book of non fiction hasnt changed me in any way, it was just eye opening. The parts that i will remember forever are the saddest, most horrifying, most angering, most confusing, and most touching.
